A Policy sets mandatory standards for a defined area of a Licensee’s conduct or for a defined group, such as ADR entities. It answers the question “what must be done?”. Policies are written as requirements (“must”), are relatively short, and are supported by annexes such as checklists and report templates.
Use a Policy when the Commission is setting obligations of its own for a specific topic, with deadlines and records that it will supervise and enforce.
Current examples: Responsible Gaming Policy, Player Complaints Policy, KYC Policy, Role of ADR and Approval policy, Incident Report Policy (draft). The KYC Policy is also the “KYC Policy” the Gaming Regulations refer to (Regulation 18.1(a)).
